An excellent journey through the neighborhoods and history of Denver

Just finished season 1, and I would wholeheartedly recommend a listen to this podcast.

I don't even live in Denver, but "Changing Denver" illuminates so many interesting stories and characters from the city that it appeals to curious minds anywhere. Deftly navigating through neighborhoods from Cap Hill to Five Points and beyond, host Paul Karolyi draws upon an astounding amount of original interviews (historians, residents, chef Tommy Lee, Tommy Lee's father!) and primary research to reveal the hidden narratives behind the streets that we walk through every day. (Also love how he showcases local music throughout!) Delving into themes ranging from gentrification to class conflicts to making the perfect bagel, "Changing Denver" expertly balances news, history and sharp analysis with a touch of humor; the result is a thoroughly entertaining listen for anyone interested in cities, American culture or just a good story. Definitely tune in!

A magnificent mind monitors the metamorphosis of the Mile High City.

I watched Paul Karolyi give a presentation at Lighthouse Writers Workshop's: Making the Mountain. This man can present. His podcast is insightful, fun, creative, and absorbing. The level of production rivals podcasts from the best: NPR, Gimlet, Earwolf. I hope he keeps outputting, I have become the most interesting man at the party by passing on the stories and tidbits from his podcast.
Thank you!!
