Description

Welcome to the Chasing Tone Podcast. Join Brian Wampler, Blake Wyland, Travis Feaster, Max Jeffreys and other guests as they talk about guitars, guitar pedals, amps, and other guitar gear, answer questions, and discuss all things guitar related as well as how to get the most out of your gear to get the best guitar tone. While this podcast is paid for by Wampler, we talk about many other brands much more than we do Wampler products. If you suffer from G.A.S. or just simply like to listen to gear podcasts, you'll love Chasing Tone.

Customer Reviews

Love this podcast

Every guitarist who cares about tone should listen to this (and every guitarist should care about tone). Loads of great information that is easy for even the most technically challenged guitarist to understand and apply. It isn't just an advertisement for Wampler--they give great unbiased info and they are pretty hilarious together.

Personally, I would love for you guys to make an even longer podcast: 1-3 hours long would be awesome. Especially if you pop the clutch and let Brian go full-nerd! The man behind the tone curtain!

Useful Info

Great podcast. Loads of useful information. Unfortunately you have to sit through about 25 minutes of fluff and "off the topic" stuff to get about 5 minutes of really good and useful info. Thats the only reason I did not give this a 5...

Tried to like it

I really like Wampler pedals - I own 3 at the moment and have owned at least a half dozen over the past few years. I also find the company’s youtube videos interesting and usually informative. Therefore, I was really interested in the podcast. Unfortunately it’s largely just a lot of pointless rambling and stories which aren’t funny except to the person telling it (which makes it all the worse as they’re usually laughing so hard at their own jokes that you can’t understand them.). The hosts often joke that the podcast’s title should be ‘Chasing the Topic’ - unfortunately there’s far more truth than humor in it… I thought they’d knock the kinks out of the whole thing after some practice, but if anything it’s gotten worse: in episode 32, Travis and Max completely ruin an explanation of clipping my Brian by “yuck, yuck, yuck” type laughing over a truly stupid joke. That was enough for me to finally pull the plug. :-(
