Fed up with flaming and unfriending, snark and shade, when discussing hot button issues like politics, religion, guns, LGBTQ rights and more? Then it’s time to join The Civilist with the Washington Post’s Steven Petrow as he and his guests take on the issues you care about. Petrow’s guests are Red, Blue, and Purple—and his focus is on how to talk together, not who’s right or wrong. He’s determined to make American kind again. From PRI and WUNC.

I love Steven Petrow's thoughtful perspective--both in his writings and on this podcast. I've been a fan of Petrow's for years, so I had high expectations when I first heard about his new podcast. Listening to it now, I can safely say that it has exceded every one! Keep up the great work!
Love this new podcast!
Love Mr Petrow's columns in Washington Post and USAToday! Super glad he's podcasting now. Super smart conversations on important topics.
Thoughtful and Entertaining
Steven Petrow is an informed and even handed voice in a world that can sometimes feel overwhelmed with ignorance and extremes. What a great antidote this podcast is to the incivility of politics today. Let's all make American kind again!
