Excellence in Storytelling!

This is one fantastic podcast for anyone interested in fiction and the short story form. The stories are all excellent, and the narrations are great, (despite any previously noted slight hiss/audio issues). Kate Baker's voice is simply mesmerizing, taking you out of your surroundings and directly into whatever tale she's weaving. Enjoy!

Audio - flat, Content - amazing

This little podcast only updates about once a month, so it's not a big time commitement. Audio quality is very average (mic has some background fuzz), although the reader is good. It's a straight read, no frills, sounds, or music. The stories, however, are incredible. I particular recommend "Night, in Dark Perfection" by Richard Parks. I listen to a lot of audio short fiction, and that story is in my top 5 for sci-fi, maybe top 3. If content is king, give this one a listen.

Great stories, well narrated

I see another comment was critical of the quality of the recording. It seems that problem has been sorted out for a while now. There is no production to these narrations like you hear on Variant Frequencies or Drabblecast, just straight narration. But the audio is good quality now.

I've really come to enjoy their taste in story selection, but what got me very early on is Kate Baker's great narrations. She does a great job of acting the readings without going overboard or getting distracting. Good stuff.
