Great resource

Fellow coaches, new and experiences, Tom puts serious effort in to making these podcasts. Not all will apply to your age group, but between the podcasts, his show notes, and the website, you will quickly find great information to help you prepare for coaching youth soccer. Thank you, Tom!

Very well thought out and informational

Knowledgeable coach with a lot of experience who you can tell spends a lot of time preparing these episodes for us. Highly recommend!

I think this podcast saved my career

This podcast definitely jolted me out of being a jaded coach. One episode I listened to on the way to a tournament which I was dreading because we were in poor form. I'd been crabby for a while and one episode got me out of it. My players had become scared of making mistakes because I'd started getting annoyed all the time. The episode I listened to went into the mental side of why players play and it just blew me away and made me realize why I loved coaching. My pre-game warm ups were great, I coached problems instead of getting crabby, and the boys played great. We didn't win the tournament, but we finished second and performed beautifully. Any time I feel a bit jaded I think of that moment. If I'd have carried on I would have lost that team and a number of others and gone into some horrible desk jockey job.
A very positive and useful podcast with some great ideas. I love it for the mental side more than anything.
