A podcast for coffee roasters. This is NOT an introduction to start roasting coffee, but for people who already roast coffee. It's about all the different ways of doing it. The coffee roasting process is very complex. The taste is affected by so many things. It's difficult to control completely. Different roasters use different ways to control the process: the time, the color, the smell, the bean temperature - and the possibilities are increasing with new technology. Made by Therese Brøndsted from Denmark. She has a Master degree in Food Science and Sensory evaluation. She has been roasting coffee since 2014.

Great coffee podcast!

Spent the day driving and listened to all your episodes. Very informative, easy to listen too, can’t say enough. Quick question for ya.... I have been roasting for about 5 years and making the upgrade to the Aillio bullet. In one of your podcasts you mention also getting one. So I guess the question is, would you do a podcast on your experiences with the roaster so far. What do you think/how has it impacted your roasting/do you like it more/ etc. I could go on but would love to hear about your time with the roaster.

Thanks again for the podcast

So great for the home roaster!

Thanks for the great podcast! A few topics I’m interested in are the differences between drum and fluid roasters in terms of development time (us home roasters often have cheap fluid bed roasters and it is hard to know if 1 min of development time on a Freshroast is similar to a Hottop, etc.). The other is on roasting for brew methods and black versus milk based drinks. I try to roast to make great macchiatos because that is what I almost exclusively drink. But I assume roast development time, etc. usually varies for brew method and drink type in great cafes. Anyway...keep it up!!!

Really informative and interesting

I’m very nascent to coffee roasting, but I love to learn new things and the science behind them. This podcast has provided a great source of knowledge on roasting, and has greatly helped me learn this new and fun skill
