Connecting Across Differences

I benefited from the clarity Dian provided in sharing examples of real life stuff -experiences I can relate to in daily life -living with people, and how easily and common it is for misunderstanding to happen. Dian’s explanation, which came naturally in the course of her entertaining story, opened my eyes to really how important it is to keep evaluations out of observations, in order to be clear about what is being said, increasing the likelihood of shared reality! I recommend the listen!

Thanks for concrete examples

I realize that I learn best from concrete examples for the points you’re trying to illustrate. For example, I loved how in one episode you talked about responding to somebody saying I love you by saying what’s happening right now that you love?

I also really got a lot out of example of your girlfriend saying something like I’m not able to take in all the information you’re giving me.

So I would really enjoy it if you could keep those examples coming! Iam able to remember them for times I can use them as well as understand the point you’re trying to make.

Great way to learn basics of NVC

Dian’s voice is calm, certain, and gentle as she explains (with examples) how to communicate non-violently. I love learning the basics this way. I only wish there were more episodes!
