God On The Move //Part 4// God In Flesh (His Love)

God On The Move //Part 4// God In Flesh (His Love)

There is a grand storyline in the bible and it is one which too few Christians understand. It is stunningly beautiful and it snaps the entire scripture into clarity which fuses together every page of its holy writings. Here it is in short: God wants to dwell in the midst of His people and He is on the move to make that happen. In fact, it is God’s mission, and one which is seen in many places of the scriptures. Here is one of those places: “I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people.” Leviticus 26:11-12. From Genesis to Revelation, this redemptive highway runs. And once we step onto it, it will take us to the heights of glory as we see exactly what God is doing on this earth! When you understand where He is going and what lies ahead of us, you will experience faith, hope and joy for this journey of life. So come join us as we follow our God who is on the move.

Generous Hearts Open Hands // Part 6// The Effect Of Generosity

Generous Hearts Open Hands // Part 6// The Effect Of Generosity

Generosity is so satisfying, yet oddly, so difficult to put into action. Consider that we live in the richest nation in history, yet only 9% of Christians give to charity, and those who do only give 2.5% away. Incredibly, we who have been given so much by our God give only slightly more than non Christians who give on average 1-2% of their income to charity. So why don’t Christians give more? Why do their hands close possessively over possessions and finances? After all, 17 of the 38 parables Jesus gave were about possessions? According to Wes Wilmer, the topic of possessions and giving is mentioned 2,172 times in the bible, 3 times more than the topic of love. How can we become generous with our possessions and finances? It won’t be through guilt and manipulation, which are external pressures. It will be by the internal, transformative power of the gospel which generates a heart desire to open our hands to give generously. We invite you to join us as we learn how to have Generous Hearts, Open Hands and learn the exciting joy of generosity when the gospel changes our lives.

An awesome accomplice to the services

I love having these sermons available in podcast form in case I miss a service or want to go back and review the content in more detail.

Better yet, Cornerstone is solid Bible-based teaching and their pastors continually encourage listeners to go study the Word for themselves so we aren’t just taking someone else’s word for things.

Thanks guys!
