Fun and silly sci-fi

Like most improv, it tends to hit and miss, but it has some really great moments. When you get to it, Best of the Burt Sessions really is a must hear.

clever, charming sci-fi improv!

The framework of an intergalactic talkradio show gives these two talented performers an excellent starting point to play around with any sci-fi conceit they have a fun spin on, as well as the space to inject bits of pathos and character-building. About ten eps in, I think they've really settled into a good rhythm—and settled into the voices they're putting on, which I found a little hard to follow in the first eps. Luckily, they're good at bringing the listener up to speed on the (relatively light) plot in each episode, so you can start wherever and hit the backlog when you're invested in Burt and Yaretta's stories.
