One of my favorites

Two minor points of criticism to start off: The title might be a little misleading - the guests are from all walks of the industry, but given that they're almost all from the Pittsburgh market, I can see it losing people who aren't from the area & have no point of reference. This isn't a problem for me, though, & I really like the local focus. Also, I find the theme song really annoying (mostly the singer's voice), but that's just personal taste & in a lot of ways it fits the pace of the show very well.
Other than those two little beefs, I really like what Jaron's doing. He's a great interviewer - he seems to really research his subject matter, asks questions relevant to both the professional AND personal life of the guests, shows curiosity & lets the conversation flow naturally from there. Sometimes things get off topic, but he keeps it engaging (I've joked that he's the only person I can listen to talk about sports). His delivery is really down to earth, too - at first it seems kind of oddly slow & chill, but in contrast to the upbeat, high-strung nature of a lot of the guests, it provides a nice anchor that lets the talk unfold in a steady, approachable way that doesn't burn you out. Plus he's got a dry sense of humor & doesn't get ahead of himself or come off as a know-it-all.
I've gotten some real insight about both the local scene & the overall "behind-the-scenes" industry from some of the interviews here, & in that way it can transcend the local focus. Overall, good subject matter, good guests, & engaged in an interesting way by a host with a solid grip on his show. I always look forward to new episodes.

Addicting

Was introduced to the podcast a week ago and now I haven't listen to sports radio since then. I'm not even from Pittsburgh but the guests have a lot of general insight in to the industry that make it interesting even for the distant beer lover. The local talk just makes me want to visit Pittsburgh to try what I can't get locally.

Terrific

Jarron is amazing and so is this podcast. That being said Alan Wildy is absolutely unbearable.
