Create If Writing is a weekly podcast for writers and bloggers dealing with authentic platform building online. You will hear from experts on list-building, connecting through Twitter, and how to utilize Facebook. But tools for building an audience would feel empty without a little inspiration, so these training episodes are balanced with inspirational interviews with writers who share their creative process, ups and downs, and how they have dealt with success or failure. Kirsten Oliphant is a self-published author with an MFA in Fiction who has been blogging for 11 years and is in the top 20 of Houston's Social Media Power Influencers. She has spoken at Blog Elevated, Houston Social Media Breakfast, Adventure Con, Houston Business Advancement Conference, and Social Media Day Houston. She created the Free Email Course and loves to get nerdy about all things email list.

Made to Create

A beautiful introduction to an exciting new series for creatives (and since we were all made to create--that's everyone!). Kirsten Oliphant explains how the series got started and why we are ALL part of the audience. The series includes a balanced mix of inspiration to get our creative juices flowing and technical advice to build platform and become part of a tribe.

Favorite motivation for blogging

I love this podcast! I usually listen to it while walking my dogs or driving. I get such great ideas and motivation from what Kiki and her guests have to share. I've even taken written notes afterwards about things k want to change or write about on my blog.

Always helpful

This podcaster is totally legitimate. I love listening to her tips and always come away having learned something. I’m still a bit new, but I’ve shared all five episodes I’ve listened to with my writing friend because they were so helpful.
