Magic
I, like many, have experienced harship at work, and I began seeking self-help on becoming a better manager/supervisor/employee. I started reading Lee Cockerells book, "Creating Magic: 10 Common Sense Leadership Strategies from a Life at Disney", and decided, for more help, to check out his website, where I came across this podcast.
After reading through some of it, I purchased all of Lee's other books, "Time Management Magic", "The Customer Rules", and "Career Magic". I listen to, and re-listen to these podcast episodes every day in order. I believe repitition and practice is key to helping me become a better supervisor.
This podcast by Mr. Maberry and Mr. Cockerell has done wonder for my life since I started listening back in December 2016. I can honestly say that anyone who takes their personal and professional growth seriously will benefit from listening to, and putting these lessons to practice. I would wholeheartedly recommend this podcast to anyone interested in learning and getting some self-help.
On Point, To-The-Point Advice
This has quickly become a must-listen show for me. Lee is a legend in business, and Jody Maberry is becoming a legend in his ability to host and draw out great discussions. Not sure where to start? Listen to the interview with Bob Burg — WOW.
A Truly Encouraging Podcast
I feel lucky to have recently discovered Lee's podcast. Each episode has great ideas that I can apply to both my professional and family life. The 15 minute format is perfect for my morning commute to work. And more often than not, I start my day feeling encouraged and more optimistic that I can make a difference, despite the challenges that I know I'll be facing throughout the day. This is good stuff!
