Welcome to Crimetown, a new series from Gimlet Media and the creators of HBO's The Jinx. Every season, we'll investigate the culture of crime in a different American city. First up: Providence, Rhode Island, where organized crime and corruption infected every aspect of public life. This is a story of alliances and betrayals, of heists and stings, of crooked cops and honest mobsters—a story where it's hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Smart, tight, and so compelling
I've been looking forward to this and just finished the first 2 episodes. It's a fascinating and chilling glimpse into a world with a whole different set of rules. Gimlet Media has such impeccable taste, and Crimetown elevates them further. You guys ROCK!
First Episode and I'm hooked!
What a great mix of history, comedy, crime and some good old gangsters. Loved it!
Gritty feel, great story, perfect score
The story is mob-tastic, the pace is great, and that theme song couldn't put a grittier bow on the whole thing. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out!
