Excellent for those American History Buffs

The first three episodes cover the little known Articles of Confederation (1781 – 1787) and the reasons behind their abysmal failure. Coo-doos to Mr. Ryun for understanding that in order to understand why there was a need for a Constitutional Convention and a new form of government, time had to be spent dissecting the problems of the old and why it just didn’t work. The forth episode provides a brief biography of the Father of the Constitution, Mr. James Madison. More biographies are promised which is another thumbs up for Mr. Ryun. After all, to better understand the Constitution, it’s probably a good idea to know the story of the men who wrote it. Episode five hasn’t come out yet and we haven’t even gotten to the Constitutional Convention. So far the ground work has been laid for what promises to be an excellent pod cast for those wish to learn what exactly what the Constitution is, why it came to be, and with any luck, some comparative commentary of what it has become.

History of the Constitutional Convention

I personally have been enlightened and richly blessed by Ned's podcasts. John Adams stated, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." I firmly believe that our Founders were inspired by God as they wrote the Constitution; therefore, I believe that if we want to truly understand the "original intent" of the principles written in our Constitution, we out of necessity MUST come to know the actual document and the Founders who wrote it. Ned is helping us do just that! In a very real way he is taking us back in time and allowing us to live as the Founders lived, think what they thought, and feel what they felt before reviewing the process they went through in writing our Constitution. In a very unique way he is making this Constitutional experience come alive for us TODAY. Are we not in many ways reliving history? I believe, even know, that God is using him in a marvelous way to equip us to PRESERVE, PROTECT, and DEFEND our Constitution in our day! Ned's podcasts are very engaging and even a source of light from above!

Tremendous Podcast for those who Love their Constitution!

With this series of podcasts, Ned Ryun does a remarkable job in communicating the basic history and story of the Constitution. But more than that, Mr. Ryun also gives the listener a real feel for what was happening during that time in our nation's history, he authentically details who these men were that set the course of our country, and he effectively relates the reasons these normal Americans believed so heartily in democracy, liberty, and freedom. And while Mr. Ryun presents the facts in an objective and balanced way, he also makes the mundane and detailed aspects of their story interesting and understandable. This is a podcast for those who are both well versed in American history and those of us who were not taught much of this story. Truly well done, Mr. Ryun!
