From street theatre to fine art, ramen to injera, maple forests to grass that grows right up to the road, the north indeed extends much deeper than commonly known. This is a show about the nature and culture of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Dispelling the myths of 'Minnesota nice' for the urbane side of cities that the world, country, and even some Minnesotans haven’t experienced. In each episode we explore the food scene, the art scene, the sidewalk scene, meeting the people you’ve never known, standing right outside your door.

Tells MPLS / St Paul's stories brilliantly

Love learning about my city. Bigly entertaining.

Great podcast!

I learned so much listening to this podcast and had fun along the way! Steve has a way of making this city really come to life, making me feel like I was there.

Love This Concept!

I absolutely LOVE Minnesota so I’m so excited there’s a podcast dedicated to MSP!

Two thoughts/recommendations:
1) I believe the podcast could be improved if the narrator increased his inflection while speaking. As it is now, the monotony of the narration makes the podcasts a bit difficult to listen to sometimes.

2) Granted, only a few episodes are out right now, but the ones that are out seem to focus mainly on more hipster and artsy parts of MSP. While that is a very important part of MSP and it does help to dispel misconceptions, it also doesn’t show the complete picture. Delving deeper into more stereotypical Minnesotan topics - like hockey, hot dishes, lake life, etc. - to explore beyond the stereotype would help to round out the subject material!

Nevertheless, great job! Can’t wait to hear more episodes.
