An upbeat exploration of the music of the swinging 1960s: rock 'n' roll, soul, garage, psychedelia, girl groups, b-sides, album cuts, and more. Weekly program, 59:00. Originated on WNCW -FM Spindale/Asheville/Greenville. The years between the release of "Meet the Beatles" and "Abbey Road" were loaded with some of the most exhilarating music ever made, and today's hippest tunes continue to reflect the influence of that era. Dig! is a trip back at that magical time, with album cuts, obscure 45s, as well as songs from the icons of the decade. Context and back stories complete the "trip" back to the grooviest decade ever. Host Kim Clark is the former program director of WNCW-FM in Spindale, NC. For three consecutive years, she was voted one of western North Carolina's favorite radio personalities by the readers of Asheville's Mountain Xpress arts and entertainment weekly. "Dig" won a Zeitgeist Award from PRX (Public Radio Exchange) in 2015. The show is broadcast weekly on over a dozen terrestrial radio stations in the US and Britain. For more, visit
