Filmmakers & Creatives Alike

While geared toward filmmakers looking to navigate the unchartered waters of making a living creating documentaries, the content and subject matter is universal to any artist looking to tell stories. Anyone who has ever engaged in the documentary making process, knows there are a number of challenges and obstacles to overcome ranging from financing to assembling a crew. The Documentary Life addresses these challenges and offers suggestions and insightful information to better equip anyone looking to engage in the documentary making process. The content is clear, concise, and extremely informative.

I fancy myself a doc filmmaker and am really happy to know this community of people like myself are out there, sharing stories and ideas. Great guest, insightful host and many lessons learned. Keep it up Parky.

The documentary podcast that I’ve been looking for!

As a budding documentary filmmaker, I thoroughly enjoy this podcast. Chris Parkhurst does a fabulous job talking about topics and subjects that relate to young up-and-coming documentary filmmakers, from the perspective of a veteran. He gets guests in who are informative who, with him, offer great insight into the art of documentary filmmaking. It is a podcast that is expiring and allows me to develop into a documentary filmmaker that I want to be. I thoroughly enjoy this podcast.
