Down to Earth is a podcast about hope. As climate change collides with our industrial food system, we focus not on doom but instead on people who are developing practical, innovative solutions. We invite you to meet farmers, ranchers, scientists, land managers, writers, and many others on a mission to create a world in which the food we eat is healthy—for us, for the land and water from which it springs, for the lives and livelihoods of the producers, and for the planet.

Solid science, wholistic view of land and people.
This show covers a lot of ground, from climate change to grazing to plant genetics. One theme is always about coming across lines that separate us to find economic and ecological solutions to the problems facing the planet. I always look forward to the next episode.
Excellent guest speakers on almost every episode
Diverse guests, great topics
I love the broad range of topics. Mary Charolotte is a wonderful host and always has intelligent and interesting questions to ask. Her approach to her interviews dives deep into complex topics, while remainging interesting and accessible.
