In response...

In response to mrsjlbrown's complaint... PG, when it says "some material may not be appropriate for children" means that it might not have stuff that chidren under 8 are likely to understand. if they don't understand it, that means they wont get the underlying meaning, so they wont care if there is some underlying innuendo. depending on their age, they might not event know what "innuendo" means. what you should do is wait until the movie is released, read the reviews, watch some trailers, then decide whether to see it. oh, and, unless your kids are 4-8, why are you restricting them to G only? In the world today, some kids have to have seen some PG movies to understand whats going on around them. someone might make a joke that comes from a PG movie, and kids are likely to get critcized and made fun of if they are 10 or 11 and have only seen G movies. and with culture nowadays, there is going to be less and less G rated movies until it gets to the point that only disney movies for 5 year olds will be rated G. plus the majority of movies, i want to say 45% or more are PG, 30% are PG-13, 15% are rated R, and only 10 are rated G.(That is only what i think the percentages are) also ive seen some PG movies that, unless you really think about the content, dont have any underlying innuendo in them, and all the violence the kids dont see. most everything is implyed, and the kids arent going to think that deeply while watching an interesting and funny movie. trust me, im 14 and ive seen lots of movies that i dont think twice about while watching them.

Why????

I was really looking forward to this movie coming out... love Seinfield... WHY do they have to throw in so much inappropriate gunk? What's wrong with an innocent little G-rated movie? I won't let my kids watch anything other than G, which really narrows our options, but I'd rather they have very little to watch than expose them to sexual innuendo and poorly disguised adult humor. A PG rating is described as "Some material may be inappropriate for children." Hello? Why is DreamWorks making children's movies that contain material that is inappropriate for children?
