Delightful!

I’m a fairly new listener to Dress: Fancy, but I quickly fell in love with it. The show covers a range of topics, many of which I knew nothing about but which ended up being fascinating. Always insightful and informative, but also just purely fun—without fail, I end up laughing out loud at some point during every episode. Great for costume/fashion lovers, but also anyone who loves a good story and/or a costume (fancy dress) party!

The Answer to a Dream...

A couple of months ago, I had a dream that I was at a fancy dress ball. I used to frequent Victorian and fancy dress balls in my twenties in the SF Bay Area but hadn't been to one in years. Something about the pandemic made my unconscious drift back to that space, the ball, where appearances were everything and the possibility that style actually could be substance was taken for granted. Oddly, I decided to see if there was a podcast that addressed all this and bam! here we are. Finding this podcast has been one of the highlights of the pandemic era, and has really encouraged me to find future opportunities for dressing up again in a post-covid world. Thank you so much! I look forward to the podcast's return, and really hope you'll look into the Mardi Gras Indians, one of the most divine examples of dressing up I've ever witnessed in person.
