The hosts of the podcast cover a good amount of knowledge but I feel like they too often get lost on personal rabbit trails. The info is useful for a family-trip perspective but not for a disney historian.

Not Boring

I’m a lifelong visitor of Walt Disney World in Orlando and I’ve been spoiled with amazing blogs and podcasts about the parks. A trip to California has left me scouring the internet for content on par with what I’ve grown accustomed and boy oh boy is there a lot of garbage out there: podcast after podcast with poor audio, self-indulgent rambling, and listing useless facts ad nauseam.

But this? This is a show. You can actually tell the hosts apart. They have distinct personalities. Real-life experiences are discussed in an understandable order. For a Disneyland podcast, this is high praise.

Jason (JP) is a curmudgeon. Terrence is a man who sees the world differently then you and I and is not ashamed. Taren is wide eyed, curious, and endearingly scatterbrained.

Hearing personal views from so many different perspectives gives the show a balance and authority that gives me the feeling I’ll have a handle on Disneyland when I get there.

My one complaint of the show is that JP’s rants can stray pretty close to bigotry. I share a lot of his zeal on topics like scooter use, strollers, awful parents, inappropriate behavior, etc. but I try to taper it with empathy. An example of this is his repeated instruction to the morbidly obese to just eat less and how they’re ruining the rides for everyone. He could stand to watch something like Peter Attia’s TedMed talk on how weight gain is just ONE response to eating poorly. Then again, my comparison here is Pete Werner of DIS Unplugged whose excellent rants are mostly complaining about bigotry.

Great Sound

This podcast actually sounds like a real radio show. The hosts are Disney super-dorks, they sound good, and there's a hot-sounding chick. What more could you possibly ask for?
