This is so great

I don't have much else to say except that I'm 35 with no kids but I listen to Happier and wanted to check this out. I will recommend to friends who have teenagers. It reminds me of how I felt as a teenager. Eliza is very lucky to have parents who were more understanding than mine. I still hide my candy. :)

My window to the teenage world

As a dad of a teenage girl, I've been surprised how little visibility I have into what my kid's world is REALLY like and what's REALLY going on in her brain. What she's REALLY faced with every day at school. And while Eliza's experience as a (presumably wealthy) Manhattan teen isn't necessarily relatable to our middle class, flyover-state world I still appreciate her unvarnished point of view and her willingness to share even the awkward details. And for a kid her age, there's a surprising lack of posturing - or at least she's convinced me that she's being pretty authentic. In any case, I really appreciate her POV; it's definitely led me to start some communication with my kid differently than I otherwise would have!

Came from Happier & stuck for Eliza!

I got to the podcast because I am a devout "follower" of Eliza's mom - read all her books & listen to "Happier" & although I am an adult who could have children Eliza's age I have stuck around & look forward to new episodes due Eliza's maturity, eloquence & interesting outlook. I am enjoying her addition of guests as well - please continue to do that. I would suggest to open up a Facebook or Twitter so that we can interact & give feedback.
