Encounters...the very best!

Richard Nelson's "Encounters" radio show is not to be missed. Unfortunately, I get tangled up and miss one now and then. I was so pleased to find it as a podcast! I grew up in an Alaskan village, and Richard's stories are about the "real" Alaska, its people and its critters. I encourage you to take a listen, and soon enough you'll be as addicted to "Encounters" as I am.

So happy to have this podcast! The BEST!

I am very happy this is now available-I try and listen on KSKA but travel a lot and this makes it possible. I am a 37 year Alaska resident and travel for a living so I really appreciate this show. Thanks Richard for bringing this show to the World!

A joy to listen to!

I recently discovered Encounters and for the past few months I tune in every week on the radio. Because the host (Richard Nelson) is a cultural anthropologist, his show stands out from other nature programs because of his background. He gives wonderful information and sound bits about whatever animal or place he may be observing, but he also connects his topics to other relevant information, such as native stories, natural and human history, or folklore for example. The show is unique and full of wonderful information I would definitely recommend to give it a try. Keep up the good work Richard!
