Customer Reviews

Solid Podcast about a great topic…

If you want an easy, quick, reliable, and dare I say entertaing way to get your HD news, then this podcast is for you. The audio quality is nothing exceptional but it is nothing that will bother you. Overall if you love HD you will enjoy getting this Podcast every week.

Good Podcast

I like the podcast and listen weekly. Sometimes the format war gets tiring but it is entertaining and informative. They run a great blog page too.

This is the Podcast of Record for HD

I never miss this podcast. If you want **more** than just same old recycled and regurgitated high-def headlines off of your RSS-reader, then this is the podcast for you. HD Beat adds a level of analysis and balanced punditry that you won't find elsewhere. Yes, pundits have opinions, but there is a big difference between a pundit with a well thought out point of view and a rabid, flaming fan-boy (which is not what HD Beat is about). HD Beat has been publicly recognized and complimented by tech news industry leaders such as Patrick Norton (who is no stranger to podcasting). Also, their ability to get a senior VP of Pioneer to contribute to the show is another indicator of the quality of their work. A few of the other high-def podcasts are so ultra-positive and afraid to offend anyone that they rubber-stamp all technology as “good stuff” which is a disservice to their listeners. HD Beat doesn’t fall into this category. Keep up the good work, guys. -- D. in DC/VA
