Customer Reviews

I started listening to the podcast because I enjoy hearing about what is going on in the climbing community and the features on successful climbers. I have grown to dislike the podcast because tends to focus on the point of view of the creator. Unfortunately he comes across as quite arrogant and focuses questions around his own biases rather than the actual subject of the podcast. I just listened to his interview of Chelsea Rude where the whole podcast was covered in his bias of gym climbers. What a shame to dim Chelsea's spotlight. I find the podcasts to be peppered with ego and a bit of snobbery. I would like to see the climbing community represented differently.

Great podcast

A great new podcast for Kalous, with solid interviews and his trademark insight and humor. Kelly Cordes at a family-friendly party as a perverse clown? Andrew Bisharat and Matt Samet, friends in real life, find out they hate each other online? Even if you've never met some of the characters Chris interviews, the stories and campfire chat are great. Five stars.

Great Conversation; beware of 10-15 minute intros!

Great guests and great conversational interview style from Chris Kalous! That being said, the long-winded intros are really starting to throw me off. Recent example from episode #102: the guest, Rebecca Rusch, begins talking around 18 minutes into the episode! 18 minutes! That’s a whole lot of plugging gear, talking, and whatever that time-taking recorded phone call was at the beginning. Reasonable time for sponsors is expected, and I think content producers should have plenty of artistic license to create, but 18 minutes of meandering intro is enough to make me unsubscribe— or maybe just skip the first 10 minutes of every episode!?
