Favorite Podcast!

By far, my favorite podcast. Chris approaches each one of these as a comfortable conversation. He listens to his interviewees with curiosity and reverence. He, like I, want to learn more about the subject and their backgrounds. I could not get enough of the Bakersfield interviews! And, somehow, Chris is able to get his guests to cut through the hyperbole and self-promotion that is so common in this day and age of selfies and agendas and just have a good old-fashioned chat. Interesting guests, great questions and I’m always disappointed when they end. Totally absorbing! I wish we could have at least one a week, but I just listen to the previous episodes over again while I wait for a new one! I would love for Chris to ask each musical guest “What is your most influential musical moment?”. I would also love for him to eventually have someone interview him…maybe on an anniversary show at some point. This is one podcast that gets my undivided attention. Keep up the excellent work!

Walking the Floor with a Two Step Shuffle

Just discovered this wonderful podcast through the two Dwight Yoakam interviews Chris just finished. Loved both shows and love the fact that a Foo Fighter is sharing his passion for the Bakersfield Sound with the rest of the world. Buck em! Chris and keep up the great work.

Consistently Great Episodes

I have now listened to virtually every episode of this podcast. Chris is natural at interviewing his guests. His seemingly easy handed questions make you feel like you are just another person in a room having a beer discussing in great detail the careers of the very famous musicians and the ones you should know. There are many artists that I was only periforally aware of before and through these podcasts, I now have a deep respect for. Having produced over 400 of prime time scripted television, I know the challenges of maintaining quality episodes. I look forward, with great enthusiasm, to future episodes!
