Online video creator Dylan Marron calls some of the folks who wrote him hateful messages to ask one simple question: why? The results are sometimes awkward, often political, and always fascinating. In new episodes starting April 2nd, Dylan will moderate conversations between people who exchanged their own negative messages online.

I by no means agree with Dylan Marron on 99% of the issues he discusses. But this, nonetheless, gives me hope. It gives me hope that more people on all sides of the political spectrum would be willing to take in different opinions and try to have a peaceful conversation, respecting the other persons right to think freely. Thank you, Dylan

I want it!

From the teaser alone, I can tell that this is going to be a wonderful podcast full of people working through internet hate and maybe getting better for it, or at least realizing that we're all human :)
(Plus, I really love Dylan Marron's voice ever since I first heard him in Welcome to Night Vale)

A platform for hateful people

I’m listening to a white man with a platform talk about words not hurting people. Look, hateful white men have enough of a platform. They really want everyone to conform and be just like them. I’m in awe that a hateful white man would be given such a platform and the fact that The host listens too it is ridiculous. I’ve dealt with white men like him my entire life and you know what?
They need to be put in their place. People are finally speaking up for themselves and white men all over the world are crying. I can’t believe they’ve been given yet another platform. My god.
