This is a great new podcast by Marty Walker. Wonderfully conceived and thoughtfully produced. The stories are funny, endlessly intersting and detailed. A welcome break for all of us thinking about a change, either permanent or temporary.
Thinking of Ecuador?
A number of people I know are researching the country. This podcast shows some of the pleasures (beach sunsets, fresh food, labor exchange schemes) and pitfalls (earthquakes, feral men, bug bites) that a single woman encounters on moving to a farm in a coastal province.
Fun mix of expat experiences
This podcast is made up of stories from American expats living in different countries, and a range of topics (language learning, assimilation, cultural faux-pas). As someone living abroad, I can relate to parts from each of the interviews I’ve listened to so far. Can’t wait for more episodes!
