Fangirl Happy Hour was founded on the principle that crying over the emotional lives of fictional characters is better as a shared experience, cheap booze optional. This podcast is us chatting about things in pop culture and fandom in loud verbal capslock. Sometimes we'll swear a lot, discuss books that aren't even out yet to torture people, and recommend explicit fanwork where dudes make out. Ana and Renay host the biweekly explosion of emotions with Tuesday updates. Come join us and bring all your weird interests. You'll fit right in.

Five Space Bees

Listening to Fangirl Happy Hour feels like getting a drink with the smartest ladies in genre -- so, exactly what it says on the tin! I love getting Ana and Renay's nuanced, hilarious takes on everything from Jurassic Park to werewolf fanfic.

Ana and Renay are so much fun to listen to! They're so excited about books (good and bad) and I feel like I have learned something every episode. Delightful and authentic and enthusiastic, I give this podcast a million space bees!

Come for Recs, Stay for the Discussion

I have found many great books through this podcast. If you like Space Opera, realistic characters, good representation (women, POC, queer) then you'll love the recommendations. But the discussions are why I eagerly await each episode. Especially discussions about food. My mother is a preacher's daughter who grew up all across Texas and everything we do as a family is centered around food from all over but especially from the South.
