It’s the season finale of Fargo Season 5, did Noah Hawley pull it off? The overall plot and the character of Munch gave this season a Grimm’s Fairy Tale feel. This was one of the best episodes of the season, Juno Temple gives a great performance and Roy is finally taken down. Hear Jim and A.Ron’s thoughts and your feedback as we sign off on this season of Fargo.

    The Useless Hand

The tides are turning on the newest episode of Fargo. Roy is fully a nightmare. We’re starting to feel sorry for Gator. Ole Munch walks off into the mist. And Dot’s true history comes to light. With the ending of the season in sight, Jim and A.Ron are wondering what is true and what is all a “dream”?

Jim is still down with covid so my buddy Ron Dawson (author of “Dungeons ‘n’ Durags” and host of podcast of the same name) joins me to break this episode down. Does Dorthy feel repressed guilt about the fate of Linda? Will Gator find redemption? Is Lorraine a villain? And what the hell does “Blanket” mean, anyway?! All this plus feedback including a fascinating email on David Graeber’s “Debt: The First 5,000 Years“.
Very much appreciate Ron for filling in for Jim on short notice! If you want to check out some specific podcasts we’ve been on together, check out the Three Right Turns episode “Be The Picard You Want to See in the World”, or check out Dungeons and Durags episodes “Squids, Crabs, and Barrels...Oh my!” and “Happy Birthday White Jesus”.

Just as Jim and A.Ron were getting back into the Fargo saddle, tragedy strikes! Jim has fallen ill and so A.Ron turns to Pete Peppers to help break down all the puppety action this episode. What does Dot’s dream escapades tell us about her inner conflict? What kind of unholy vengeance does Ole Munch have planned for the Tillmans? And holy hell, Gator is almost 30?!? We’ll get fully caught up with this week’s episode and feedback with another new host by the end of the week! Thanks for your patience as we reroute things to cover for Jim in his hour of need.
If you’re looking for a great intro to Pete’s work on YouTube, maybe check out this video that explores all the connections between seasons 1-4 of Fargo referenced in this podcast!

    The Tender Trap

New year, more coverage! Jim and A.Ron are diving back into Fargo Season 5. Just like this podcast, this sixth episode of Fargo is a lesson in delayed gratification. Roy is becoming more of a person. Indira needs to run. Try the gray stuff, it’s delicious. Who is getting a redemption arc by the end of the season?

Harvey Butthole ,

Just finished seasons 1-5

And sad it’s over! You guys provided great coverage all the way though and I am a fellow supernatural hater. Completely agree that season 2 was questionable (seriously, how did people like the ufo? One of the worst things I’ve ever seen on television) and also prefer the grounded in reality storylines. Season three has been my personal favorite. Bravo you two! Also, debt collectors are arguably the most evil people in the world, spot on with Lorraine.

The best coverage out there. A++

As always 5/5 for the Bald Move boys. Prob more likely 9/10 as nothings perfect.
As in their opinions on Season 2 ending. Their opinion is clearly wrong but in the end just that, a difference of opinion, man.

Bottom line, for TV & Movies BALD MOVE coverage is Prestige.
The best out there by a distance.
Platinum rated podcasting.

A real treat when a show I love crosses over w/ Bald Move coverage.

Thanks gentlemen.

Only ok

Admittedly, I LOVED Fargo Season 5. Recaps were fine here. But, these guys consistently got character names wrong and put forth some bizarre theories and criticisms based on who knows what! Somehow they managed to debate in several episodes whether Roy or Lorraine was more evil. Umm… pretty sure MURDER, grooming a teenager and being a wife beater is WORSE than a somewhat snobbish business woman in the debt business. C’mon guys!!! Wished this whole podcast was just better.
