Entertaining but informative look at Asian food's journeys across the world
If you love Asian food, you're going to love this podcast. Lynda and Iris pick Asian dishes that are popular in the West and figure out where this food originated from, how it traveled to the West, and sometimes, how it then traveled back to Asia and became popular all over again! I enjoy their differing perspectives: Lynda is based in NYC and comes at it more from a foodie/eater's perspective, Iris is based in Hong Kong and comes at it more from an industry insider's perspective. I'm looking forward to future episodes from these two ladies!
informative and hunger inducing :)
Fun and insightful!
Humorous and informative, Lynda and Iris are clearly talking about something they are passionate about while also linking food to culture and history. Especially appreciate them bringing in interviews with individuals currently working in the food industry (both in HK and NY), which brings even more insight to the specific dishes/drinks of every episode. Also enjoy topics like how dishes and drinks are receptive to the "trends" of time and location, adapting and evolving with change- in order to "survive" in a way.
It's always a pleasure to listen to two friends discuss something they love!
