Description

"LadyGang" is a celebrity driven podcast from the minds and mouths of Keltie Knight, Jac Vanek, and Becca Tobin where no subject is off limits. Inspired by their bottomless mimosa brunches, each week, a celebrity guest joins the girls for a raw, honest, and hilarious look at what life is really like under the bright lights of Hollywood.

Rape comment...?!

Argh, this pains me. I really want to love this podcast, but it has just gone too far. I am a fellow millennial SoCal lady and I think concept is great. There have been a few very fun and informative guests and episodes. The three hosts have pretty good report with one another, however one in particular, Becca Tobin, is quick to paint herself as the "bitchy, tell-it-like-it-is," friend. Fair enough. They are trying to be like your friends at a boozy brunch who don't hold back. While I appreciate the honesty, Becca's comments can be so out of line with the podcast it is cringeworthy at best. Finally this afternoon I had to turn it off and unsubscribe because her comments made me queasy. On a dating focused episode Becca somehow concluded that men weren't asking women out because, "too many women falsely accuse men of rape." Really?! That's what your going with? I don't think I need to point out everything that's wrong with that statement.

Becca also shared some incredibly uninformed opinions regarding the pay-gap that I won't even try to summarize. While the other ladies (and the guests) have funny, interesting and even inspirational takes on the topics, Becca constantly has to err on the negative and nasty.

Bottom line: if your goal is to have a fun, lighthearted podcast emulating a group of sassy but supportive girlfriends, I feel you've missed the mark. It's really a shame because the effort and energy gone into this is evident, and it is something that I think I would otherwise enjoy and look forward to.

Hello. It's me.

I might be biased because this is my podcast but I'm pretty sure it's the greatest podcast to ever grace the earth. 👍🏻

Unlistenable.

The rape comment. Just wow. For someone who calls themselves a girl's girl... that was quite a comment. This is a prime example of three individuals who should not have a platform to spew their vacuous, obtuse drivel but thanks to the internet, they now have a platform built on false importance and idiocy.
