Came for the Joanna Robinson, stayed because it is great

I first found this podcast when Joanna Robinson was guesting (love her commentary, always, and it is great every time she stops by, wonderful as the "core cast" is!), and am so glad I did. Goodness knows there are a lot of "pop culture panel/commentary" podcasts out there, but not all of them are as consistently charming, insightful, and thought-provoking as this one. I appreciate the diverse range of different perspectives, the sharp but never mean debates, and the interesting questions the panel always raises and discusses. And while there are some predominantly-male pop culture podcasts that take on a bro-y tone, FITWR never does (bless them.) There is a consistent awareness of race, class, and gender politics, and thoughtful discussions of same, in this podcast, which this particular "social justice warrior" greatly appreciates. A consistently smart, interesting listen (and, though the whole panel is great, so glad Katey is back! Complete with special baby commentator!)

I "appreciate" this podcast a great deal

A phenomenal podcast with younger film critics that never devolves into a fanboy bro-down hoedown. All the hosts are charismatic and offer intelligent insights. Like many I enjoy the addition of Joanna Robinson. While Patches, Katey, Da7e, and David all sound like my kind cinephiles. Keep up the great work. One Love.

Trash

Did I just listen to an entire podcast debating what "trash" meant as applied to cinema with no mention of Showgirls?

Trash cinema = Showgirls

Now, I'm even more excited to see Gone Girl.

Have a nice day.
