471 – Bluey, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Civil War

This week, everyone jumps in to check in on Bluey (streaming on Disney Plus) in honor of the series longest episode to date “The Sign,” which functions as a possible finale (but likely isn’t). Then, David reports back from director Guy Richie’s very busy period with some thoughts on The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare before all four hosts jump into a war of their own with Alex Garland’s latest Civil War, currently in theaters.

469 – Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, Katey’s Vanity Fair Exit, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

This week, David has to sit a week out of the War Room, but it’s just because of visiting in-laws – he is safe and fine! Katey, Patches, and Da7e convene so Patches and Da7e can talk about the not-good, but also not-bad Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, then Katey updates everyone on her departure from Vanity Fair and what her media life is like now. Finally, Katey and Da7e dig into another type of Empire in theaters right now, a Ghostbusters Frozen one since Katey’s eldest child wanted to see it as his first foray into the world of Ghostbusting. There are some spoilers for both Empire movies this week in their segments but those spoilers are VERY slight considering these movies and their visual spectacles.

468 – Da7e’s Semicolon Story, Summer Movie Preview, Road House

This week on a slightly longer than usual episode, Da7e is back to catch up on your e-mails and explain to everyone exactly what happened last week that landed him in the hospital (and how he’s going to be missing movies in theaters for the time being because of an open wound). Then, Patches gets some lightning round style reactions to this summer’s big upcoming tentpole movies. Finally, everyone dives into Doug Liman’s Road House, currently streaming on Amazon.

467 – 3 Body Problem, Girls5Eva, What We Talk About When We Talk About Movies Being Back

This week, Da7e’s body has revolted against itself, so Katey, Patches and David rally in the War Room. All three hosts are intrigued by 3 Body Problem on Netflix, even though Patches is probably the most into it. Then, although it started on Peacock, Girls5Eva has also moved to Netflix for its third season! Finally, David wants to talk about what we talk about when we talk about “the movies” being “back.” He explains himself, listen to the segment.

Amazing pod

Love these folks and look forward to every episode. I’ve followed Dave around through many different shows and can’t get enough of him.

Glad to hear Dave is healing up. Bummed to hear Katy’s VF news - but VF has been falling off for a while Ave I’m sure you will move in to better things.

This would be a great podcast if David Ehrlich had a time or word limit.

Going to [the] War [Room] for Katey

Hello, FITWR hosts! I have been fans of all of your work separately for a long time, but I’ve never listened to this podcast because I felt I already had too many pop culture podcast listens. However, I have been listening to Little Gold Men for almost its entire run, and I am INCENSED on Katey’s behalf by VF’s stupid and short-sighted decision to let her go. I don’t want to be in a world where I don’t get to heat Katey’s takes, so I’m here, reporting for duty 🫡
