Absolutely Phenomenal. A Must Listen!

I work in the middle of nowhere, and like to listen to a variety of podcasts and audiobooks on my daily lunch-break walk. This may very well be my new favorite thing! It's like getting a half-hour Game of Thrones audio play delivered weekly straight to you...for free! The writing is great, the story is epic, and the quality of the production is immaculate. By far the most intricately produced audiobook I've ever heard. You won't regret subscribing.

An Amazing Audio Adventure

It's insane that this podcast is free. The quality of the writing, music, and narration is phenomenal. If you're a fan of anything from fantasy novels to radio drama, you'll enjoy this consistently engaging story. The chapter structure allows you to listen to in manageable bits perfect for bus, car, or plane rides, but everything continually flows forward in an exciting narrative. Subscribe, fools!

Does not deliver on its pretentiousness

I have listened to many audio podcasts, from radio dramas to straight reads by the author. The production values of this podcast are good but the actual writing is mediocre at best. I had high hopes but the storyline is confusing and difficult to follow. I am an avid reader/listener so I am well able to follow a plot but this novel needs more connective structure. The names of the characters are hard to remember so keeping them straight became problematic. The world structure needs more development so I can understand the actions of the characters. Finally, I don't know if it's the narrator or just the way the book is written but I felt the podcast came off as, like I said, pretentious. It's the author's job to draw me into the story and I don't feel honored just to have the opportunity to hear your creation. That is how the production came off to me. Every time I put on another episode I asked myself why was I even still listening. It was almost a chore I had in front of me since I always try to finish any book I start. In the end, I couldn't do it.
