Customer Reviews

5 stars with constructive input

Hi, I just listened to the first podcast (SOW Juice) and I just started the second (Casa De Chocolates). I will write another review when I listen to more. For now, I feel like you could introduce narrative aspects to the podcast. Perhaps the interviewee can share stories, or the questions you ask set them up to tell a story. Perhaps you make a surprising discovery and you can edit the sound clips to engage us and make us guess. I also listen to Freakonomics radio and while that podcast is slower-paced than I would like, with information that is sometimes too spread out and gapped by long clips of the same music, I think it would be helpful if you considered the aspects of that podcast that make it successful. It engages the audience. Right now, I, as an audience member feel outside of your podcast, off on the sidelines. I think the fans who currently appreciate your podcast most are probably listening to it the way they would read a textbook. Perhaps you can throw in some music and make it a little more entertaining on the more casual podcast listener. ;) I'm still going to give you five stars but I hope you listen to my suggestion to at least try to engage the audience more to spread your fan base, because I would like to be one. I love cooking and learning. Thanks for your consideration of my suggestions.

This is going to be great

I have heard the other shows by Ryan Parker, look up Killer Food, and he has a relaxed interview style. I cannot wait to hear as he focuses on the specifics of handcrafted foods.

Right up my alley….

Just the type of podcast I love… honest talk with honest people who are making honest food that touches their heart….
