Will inspire you to be an even better vegan
I listen to many of the vegan podcasts out there, and this is the best one for me. So far anyway, it's simplicity is wonderful. No news stories, no rambling about what happened with friends over the weekend, no incestual interviews with other vegan podcasters, just eloquent, powerful, well-formulated debunking of vegan and animal-rights myths. I've also read many of the animal-rights books out there, and still Colleen has helped me understand arguments in a new perspective. For instance, I like her reference to milk drinkers as "unweaned humans." That might sound like she's condescending toward non-vegans, but that's absolutely not true. She just doesn't give any ground to the many, often-seemingly-rational excuses people give for continuing to consume meat, dairy and eggs, or should I say corpses, lactations resulting from the gestation process and products of the menstrual cycle?
I'm not even a vegetarian (yet), but this podcast is just GREAT!
Let me say this, I am not a vegan or even vegetarian - and honestly that is the last thing I ever thought I'd even consider -- but Colleen, through this incredibly well-done and inspiring podcast is making me think that perhaps I can give up meat. Colleen doesn't come off preachy in the least -- and listening to her (myself as a previous avid meat-eater), I never once felt like she was talking down to me or shaming me. Her dialog is incredibly positive, insightful, and tells the truth. Her peacefulness and compassion is so inspiring, if more of us were like her, the world would be inifinitely better. My advice to you -- subscribe to this podcast and listen to everything. There is a real positive energy around this podcast, and Colleen gives lots of great suggestions regarding foods you may have never tried, and real reasons as to why you don't really need to eat meat or dairy. And whether you are looking for info regarding moral issues around animals, or simply a healthful plant-based diet so you can live better and longer -- get this podcast! Thank you so much Colleen - your podcast (and mission) is great -- not just for the animals, but for all of us.
I WISH THERE WERE MORE PEOPLE OUT THERE LIKE YOU
Oh my god, thank you so so sooo much for making a podcast series on such an important issue! I'll be putting all of them on my iPod Video. I'm a vegetarian of two years and twelve years old, and it is so inspiring to know such a mature woman can be a vegetarian role model! I'm going to try making my own podcasts and putting them up here. I THANK YOU SO MUCH AND I HOPE WE CAN MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR EVERYONE!!!!
