Stick to talking about worthless fiction...
...and stay away from actual Literature. This podcast features hosts who are reminiscent of the Frat boys who sit in the back of Lit classes and deride everything you study. You can almost hear the hosts' brains struggling under the weight of interpretation in heavy, grinding mechanical sounds that you think must be producing something of value. But then they just make fart noises. (basing this wholly on the "House of Leaves" podcast).
in a word . . . scaryinfotastic
Thanks for introducing some variety to my alcoholism!
Pay No Attention to The Haters, boys...
I enjoyed your musings and especially liked your choice of Dan Simmon's, Song of Kali. I recommend Michael McDowell's swampy Southern Gothic Blackwater series or Gilded Needles, his dark turn of the century tale of revenge.
