I love this podcast! Every time I listen to it on the subway I start to cry, and people just assume I'm going through a breakup. We really needed a podcast about spirituality and movement work! As a Jewish organizer, I especially loved the episode with Dove Kent.
Exactly what I needed
Engaging in justice work is difficult and can be draining if you don't take the time to renew yourself with spiritual practice and by hearing stories like these. I'm really happy that there is a space to hear from such amazing activists and how their justice work and their spirituality interact.
Where we live our values and draw strength
I'm pretty new to movement work, although I have a background in community social work. These interviews are so authentic in getting at the core values which drive us to action in the first place, and what can help keep us going. If you are new and want to be inspired by movement leaders, have been in the work for a while and want to be renewed to stay in, or an elder who wants to reflect on your own work and legacy... these stories will uplift you just where you are.
