Description

Four adventurers have been brought together by fate... and a goat... and tasked with taking on the villainous Count Strahd von Zarovich and saving the village of Barovia. They've agreed to do it - for a modest fee, of course. Welcome to Freelance Heroism - a bi-weekly 5th-Edition Dungeons & Dragons actual-play podcast and member of the Minionworks Podcasting Network! Our current campaign is Curse of Strahd, a Gothic horror-inspired setting in the dangerous and fog-shrouded land of Ravenloft. While the setting is serious, our heroes are anything but. Will they survive the horrors of Castle Ravenloft and defeat Strahd? Join us and find out every other Sunday!

D&D with sheep jokes

While this is one of the games promoted by the minion works it stands out in its own right. This game follows the book of the curse of sthrad (whatever I am from Hawaii and can't spell). The sound is decent for a first episode and the jokes run quick and fast. This could easily be a new group I will wait with antica.....pation to listen to on my drive to work

That Ragnic Doh.

Okay, you caught me. I'm reviewing my own podcast. Seriously though guys, give us a listen. If you don't like it, I'll give you your money back!

An excellent start! Looking forward to future eps.

I was tuned into this podcast via the fine folks running the Minionworks Network. I'm glad I did. I'm really liking where this is going! The players are obviously having fun and there's definitely a hilarious dynamic being laid down, especially between Ragnic and The Professional. (I think I've forgotten his actual name because he's been called "The Professional" so many times, it's now stuck.) I can only see good things and good soup on the road ahead.

I have to say my favorite moment so far is the exchange between Ragnic and Adrie about the voice Ragnic hears, though the "closing of the door" comes in at a very close second. And I can see the goat becoming a fan favorite, to be honest. My crazy theory based on absolutely nothing is that she'll either be their greatest ally or their greatest enemy. Or maybe both.

The only downside is the audio quality. It's a bit raw in these initial episodes, but that's somewhat expected as the crew finds its technical footing. But thus far, the content really makes up for it.
