Garry's wit and absorbing energy keeps Chicagoans entertained day after day. Garry will tell you that his career in radio all began with a dead butterfly. One day he walked out of his house and saw a beautiful dead Monarch butterfly lying on the ground. He scooped up the lifeless harbinger of things to come and sent it to his then favorite disc jockey, Larry Lujack, the biggest jock in Chicago at the time. Larry was always talking about reincarnation and he claimed he was going to come back as a butterfly. In a note accompanying the butterfly Garry said, "I think I found your dead uncle. Sorry for your loss". Larry read the note on the air. For Garry it was a "flashpoint" moment. Fascinated with radio, he knew what he was destined to do in life when he heard his material on the air. Meier rose to prominence in Chicago as part of one of the most successful number one radio duos in the country, the Steve & Garry Show. The fifteen-year run garnered international publicity, as well as an Emmy for the TV show Greetings From Graceland. Meier also gained renown for his highly successful eight-year run on the Roe & Garry Show. In addition to these accomplishments, Meier has displayed his wit and energy as a solo host and as a feature reporter for WGN-TV's morning show. He loves what he does, carrying all of his inventory in his head and feels that even with all of his success, the best is still yet to come.

    GarrForce Cocktail Hour Live 3-15-24

History says that on this date back in 44 B.C., Julius Caesar, ignoring the deadly warnings of a seer he employed, joked on the way to the Theatre of Pompey, “Well, the Ides of March are come.” That day did not end well for Caesar. On the The Garry Meier Show Cocktail Hour LIVE on March 15, 2024, we expect a better evening, with Official GarrForce Bartender Jenna Duddleston coming aboard to demonstrate mixing up a St. Patrick’s Day cocktail, ahead of the usual March 17th St. Patrick’s Day celebrating. Interestingly, in a Garry Meier Show vortex-like way, the Feast of St. Patrick on March 17 is said to mark the fifth-century missionary and Irish bishop’s supposed date of death too (according to Wikipedia, at least).

Fave podcast

This format is much better. None of the dumb radio commercial interruptions (“kars for kids” anyone?) Nothing but Garry. Love it!

Thanks!

I love the podcast format. I prefer this over terrestrial and satellite radio. Too many advertisers that are not targeted towards me. I don’t want give a crap about Draft Kings or My Pillow!!

I get to listen and enjoy my favorite broadcasters on this great podcast platform. The Garforce is one of them. I just recently signed up for the premium content.

💯⭐️’s

Garry is the best!!

When I have had a bad day and the drama going on in the world make you reach out for a drink or something pharmacy related, I go to Garry. Entertainment at it’s best.
