Customer Reviews

A gem, worthwhile and extremely informative!

Gear Club podcasts are like eating a great meal, I savor every minute. Stewie and John know their stuff, are a couple of cats that make me laugh, and clearly create the vibe that inspires their guests to enjoy sharing their knowledge and stories. Truly a gem, worthwhile and extremely informative! Highly recommended!!! HG

Super Interesting!!

I just want to hang out with these guys and pick their brains, listen to their stories and experiences. However, since I can’t, this podcast is the next best thing. I’m a non-pro musician who occasionally records bands in my home and I love to hear John and Stewie talk about professional studios and their experiences and techniques in the recording industry as well as those of all of their “illustrious” guests. I end up laughing out loud a lot during their discussions and its always interesting to hear the dialogue between them and what they’re currently working on. A word of warning though, you may find yourself buying a bunch of records after hearing guests discuss the setup, methods, gear, rooms, consoles mics etc used. For instance, Ive never listened to many of the later Dylan records but after listening to Chris Shaw discuss how he set up the session for recording “Love And Theft” I had to go and get the record to put it in context and it sounded f*&%ing amazing! Its this kind of insight that makes this podcast so great and enhances one’s depth of appreciation of the listening and recording experience.

Cant go wrong with this

Love every episode. Not just for people who like to record. For anyone that loves music. Check it out.
