Just a little thing to consider......

Hi, so I think that Jenna seems like a great professional and a really kind person. All that being said, I think she needs to re examine either her interview style or reasoning for doing the podcast. Here's the issue: While her discussions are very topical (business, branding, etc) she turns every conversation and question back to being about HER. I've tried multiple times to listen to the podcast, but I just cannot any longer because once I realized that all she does is talk about how things relate to her, how guests remind her of herself (as was the case with the most recent episode) that is all I hear. Even the episode where he husband was the special guest became more about her. This has carried over to what I notice in her IG feed as well. Now, perhaps that is what is en vogue in terms of marketing yourself as a brand these days, but for me I just want to listen to an interesting interview without it always coming back around to being about the host. She could probably learn from listening to other podcasts such as Tim Ferris or the Jealous Curator as examples. Those hosts do an outstanding job letting their sujects and guest guide the show with minimal interruption. Again, this is not a dig or insult towards Jenna, who does seem like a nice person, and maybe it is just part of her being young, but the topic and guest should be paramount, not her.

Where's the diversity?

There’s some amazing content and information in the Goal Digger podcast. I’ve been a subscriber for a long time because it provides really helpful information for me as I get my business off the ground, but I can’t help but note the lack of diversity. Nearly every person Jenna’s interviewed on the show is a white, straight, Christian woman. I can probably count the number of women of color who have been on the show on one hand. While each guest has their own unique stories and merits for being on the show, I find it hard to believe that with Jenna’s wide reach and audience she couldn’t find guests with valuable insights to share whose backgrounds aren’t so similar to her own.

Jenna, you said in a recent episode that you want the Goal Digger podcast to be BIG, but I just don’t see you getting there if you don’t diversify your guests. Show how you are thoughtful and inclusive by giving people who are different from you more representation on the show. You're doing great work and I love the information you provide, but I think you can do so much more to create content that is inclusive for people of all backgrounds.

Jenna has become so fake and commercial I can't stand the sound of her voice anymore

Among the many things that changed with Jenna, her frequency of doing ads (that are obnoxiously obvious) her voice has changed too- you can hear how fake she's being through her tone. Her podcast is full of lies, claiming she doesn't pay a dime for ads when I've seen multiple paid ads by her - this was the first red flag. Several other lies that were obviously not true made me stop listening so much. Finally I unsubscribed, This podcast is not at all what it used to be. She airs out her dirty laundry and talks way too much about sensitive topics she's been through in a very insensitive light. To those who have been through the same thing it's disrespectful to put it on blast and try to use it to get more views. Smh Jenna lost a true fan today.
