Description

This show is for survivors, by survivors. Each week I'm joined by an inspiring individual who has overcome a traumatic childhood to go on to not only survive, but thrive. Sharing their story to help inspire you to overcome the lasting effects of your childhood trauma. You will find that you are not alone in what you are going through, and that no matter how difficult things are now, there is always hope that you can transcend your past and live the life you were meant to live.

Customer Reviews

Open and honest! Powerful and Important!

If you have ever been the victim of bullying, know that you are not alone. Melissa is open and honest about her experiences and will help all of us gain strength and self-confidence. This is an interview show, talking with people who have been physically, emotionally or psychologically traumatized, and emerged from the experience with "post traumatic growth". I think everyone needs to listen.

I wish this podcast was live when I was in school

This is a must listen for everybody. Wether you’re the prom queen or the weird dude eating your own hair at the back of the class (class being a metaphor for life, people) - you need to listen to this. Thank you, Melissa, for giving such great value on such a pained subject!

Yesterday's bullied, Today's Successes

I love this show. I met Melissa early in 2014 and she's inspired me ever since. It takes so much courage to admit to being bullied, and Melissa is leading the courageus charge. If, like me, you've been bullied, you owe it to yourself to not only share your story, but to listen to The Grass Gets Greener as well.
