Northeastern University Center for Inner City Studies is host to the Great Black Music Project directed by Godfrey Mason, under the auspices of Dr. Conrad Worrill. The Great Black Music Project, an archival system using the latest technological processes to be housed at the Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies(JHCCICS) and a virtual house on the world wide web - accessible globally by all interested. The capabilities of the project are vast enough to be a repository of both audio and video, recordings, photos, news clips, essays, critical review and thought - from the analog past to the digital future.
