Great insights for working actors, directors, playwrights!

This podcast features a bunch of really smart, thoughtful, and entertaining artists working on plays in New York. Every podcast they talk about a different aspect of building a career and being a great collaborative artist in the theatre. Cool inside scoop for anyone making their way in this crazy business of show.

pretty good stuff!

I don't know if I've heard another podcast like this - it's not really ABOUT theatre productions as much as the process of doing all the work necessary to do theatre productions - sort of an insider's view; the "cast" of the podcast make constant references to their respective processes for working, which is occasionally a little dry but mostly really interesting. For a fan of theatre, this must be really fascinating stuff to listen to, and for other theatre artists, I can imagine the conversations would make them want to jump in and join the discussion. Recommended for anyone interested in theatre; from the working professional to the casual fan.

nitty gritty

Always enjoy listening to these podcasts - the actors, writers, and directors really break down the topics they are addressing and give insight into all of the elements that go into creating a production from a very strategic vantage point. This company's approach to theatre comes from a very grounded place, one that most are afraid to explore. My only critique is that the guys seem to dominate the conversation a bit. I appreciate everyone's insights and discussion and would recommend this especially to actors in LA who are somewhat challenged when it comes to finding truth in their work. Also to directors, to know what it ispossible to expect from your actors. Great job! Keep it up!!
