A podcast exploring the dark corners of the human mind. Stories from artists, scientists, philosophers and journalists. Decidedly brainy and always interesting.

I think this is only the third review I’ve ever written, and the other two were sort of required. I love this podcast. I happened upon Here Be Monsters a few weeks ago when I broke my foot, and so immersed myself in books and podcasts secondary to not being able to get up and out and move. Sometime earlier this evening, I crossed past episode 56, which is approximately half of them. I know that from the very beginning, Jeff said there is no need to listen to them in order, but that’s how I’m doing it! I’ve been anxiously anticipating the episode that I’m about to listen to next, “When Cthulhu Calls”, ever since I skimmed past it on the way to the earliest episode available on Apple Podcasts. I can’t recommend this highly enough, and I definitely suggest listening to the earlier episodes on SoundCloud that you’ll find under Archive at
“They stop Cthulhu eating ye!!”

This podcast is strange (as intended). You never know what your gonna get. The stories and sound effects are very pleasant on the ears.

Old podcast I listen to with both ear buds in.

Amazing stories centered around meticulous attention given to the sounds.
