West Texas Needed This
There is so much culture in Amarillo and such great people and stories were born here. I am glad to see a podcast made that allows us to connect and hear new things and learn about the people that make the Amarillo area so great!
I love the format of this podcast. Getting to know our fellow neighbors and community members is important and this podcast is the perfect way of doing that! I am excited to learn more about the people of this wonderful city. Congrats!
Fantastic podcast! Loved the format & your questions. You asked several questions that challenged your guest & highlighted Amarillo. Mayor Ginger Nelson was a great opening guest. She articulated why she will be a good Amarillo Mayor & leader. But your guest lost my fav Amarillo Native Podcast Host a “star” for offering a cheeseburger as your #1 order choice at an Amarillo Mexican food resturant. That’s just not the correct answer, even if it’s your “honest” answer. I’d accept taco or burrito maybe, but the best answer is rellenos followed by enchiladas! There’s way too many excellent “hamburger/cheeseburger” places in Amarillo to pass by to order a cheeseburger at a Mexican Resturant in Amarillo! But your other answers were spot on! I moved from Amarillo in 2013 after living there 30 years and raising three great kids in Amarillo. I do hope the new baseball team does well in Amarillo. And Amarillo should emphasize it’s tourist features more than just a one night stop on a trip but a great place to enjoy the real Texas people and scenery! On my next trip to Amarillo if I don’t stay with friends My Place Hotel will be on our list of a Hotel to stay.
