Each month I sit down with a friend to discuss history not as a lecture, but as a conversation. The aim of the program is to foster curiosity about and understanding of history by telling engaging, relatable stories in a narrative structure.

Customer Reviews

Love this podcast!

Adam seems really knowledable about a variety of historical periods and topics and does a great job in explaning history in an easy to follow, conversational style.
I'm a fan of some of the great history podcasts like Dan Carlin's Hardcore History and I really think Adam has a lot of similar talents.
I very much recommend subscribing to this podcast!

Couldn't be happier!

I chanced upon this podcast while doing research for my senior thesis on the Iran-Contra Affair, and have been listening to it ever since!
As a student of history at FSU, I'd been looking for a fun and casual way to revisit topics I'd previously studied and HI101 fit that role perfectly.
And now that I am graduated, I love throwing on one of their episodes and going about my work as a brewer.
The subject matter keeps me thinking throughout the day, and the host moderates each topic perfectly.
This isn't one of those intimidating (prior knowledge required) history podcasts! It's a fun way to freshen up on your studies, and a great way to hear about areas of history you may never have known existed.

Couldn't recommend it more!

A Pleasant Surprise

As someone very familiar with history podcasts I felt I had finally reached the bottom of the barrel as far as good podcasts go. This little gem proved me wrong.
