Description

The Historical Blindness podcast is a discussion of interesting and largely forgotten stories from our past, with a specific focus on demonstrating the inscrutability, the ineffability, and the unknowability of the past. By examining cases of outrageous hoaxes, mass hysteria, baffling mysteries and unreliable historiography, we raise the question, “Can we trust history as we have received it?”

Customer Reviews

Superficial, callow propaganda that adds nothing to “the conversation”

Breathlessly earnest as he may be, the host and producer adds little of value to the discussion of the topics he broaches.. tired, politically correct, juvenile... a lot self-congratulatory high-fiving about “myth-busting”...lame... indeed, worse than lame because it’s part of that anti-democratic echo chamber where people seek only to justify their pre-conceptions, much better podcasts out there

Ideology not history

The creator admits no historical training which is painfully obvious from many episodes. Unfortunately this podcast, while having much potential, is more about his liberal agenda then reasoned fact. See, e.g., the initial episode’s diatribe against Trump and the latest poorly reasoned revisionist account of Columbus.

Interesting topics, but...

The topics discussed are great, but the host’s style is a bit over-dramatic.
